育児休業休暇

Childcare leave (Childcare leave that parents are legally entitled to up until the child is 1 year old)

育児休業とは育児・介護休業法によって決められた休みで、一定の条件で育児休業給付金がもらえる。育児休暇は法律で決められたものではないが、育児のためにとった休みのこと。両方とも子どもを育てることを支える制度。

Childcare leave “ikujikyuugyou”  as stipulated by the Act on Childcare Leave, Caregiver Leave, and Other Measures for the Welfare of Workers Caring for Children or Other Family Members, can be received as a childcare leave benefit under the defined conditions of the law. Childcare leave “ikujikyuuka” maternity and/or paternity leave is a leave available for childcare though it is not decided by law. Both are systems that support raising children.
