福祉関係八法の改正

Revision/Amendment of eight acts related to welfare

老人福祉法等の一部を改正する法律（1990年）をいう。八法とは、(1) 老人福祉法、(2) 身体障害者福祉法、(3) 精神薄弱者福祉法、(4) 児童福祉法、(5) 母子及び寡婦福祉法、(6) 社会福祉事業法、(7) 老人保健法、(8) 社会福祉・医療事業団法、である（改正当時）。在宅サービスを入れること、市町村・都道府県への老人保健福祉計画策定を義務とすることなどを改正した。

This is a law (1990) that partially amends the Act on Social Welfare for the Elderly. The eight laws are (1) Welfare Law for the Elderly, (2) Law for the Welfare of Persons with Physical Disabilities, (3) Welfare Law for People with Mental Deficiency, (4) Child Welfare Act, (5) Law for the Welfare of Mothers with Dependents and Widows, (6) Social Welfare Services Law, (7) Health Law for the Elderly, and (8) Social Welfare and Medical Corporation Law (at the time of the revision/amendment). It has been revised to include home-based services and to make it compulsory for municipalities and prefectures to formulate health and welfare plans for the elderly.
