Occupational therapist
厚生労働大臣の免許を受けた国家資格で、医師の指示の下に作業療法を行う。具体的には、身体や精神に障害のある人に対して、入浴や食事などの日常生活の動作、手芸やレクリエーション(recreation)まで色々な種類の 作業活動を通して、リハビリテーション(rehabilitation)を行う。
A person who is licensed by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare, and performs “occupational therapy” under the direction of a doctor. Specifically, they perform rehabilitation for people with physical or mental disabilities through various types of work activities from daily life activities such as bathing and eating, to handicrafts and recreation.
