製造物責任法
Product Liability Act
製造者（製品を作った会社や人）の責任を定めた法律。製品の使用中、消費者が生命や身体などに損害を受けたとき、それが製品の欠陥によるものであったことを証明できれば、製造者の損害補償が受けられる法律。人工的につくられた製品が対象となる。
An act that sets forth the responsibility of the manufacturer (any person or company who manufactures a product). When a consumer gets damage in life or body while using a product, and if they can prove it was caused by a defect in the product, they could get compensation from the manufacturer by the law. It applies to man-made products.
