Progeria, Progeria syndrome
介護保険の対象となる特定疾病の一つ。老化による外見の変化が実際の年齢よりも早く生じる疾患を一つにまとめた呼び方。老化現象が急に進むことが特徴である。
One of the designated syndromes that is covered by long-term nursing care insurance. This is a generic term for some diseases in which a person’s appearance ages more rapidly than their actual age. Its main feature is a rapid progression of the aging process.
