福祉用具の研究開発及び普及の促進に関する法律
Act on the Promotion of Research, Development and Dissemination of Social Welfare Equipment
1993年に定められた法律で、福祉用具法とも呼ばれる。高齢者や障害者が地域や家庭で自立して、積極的に社会参加ができるように、福祉用具の開発や普及（社会に広めること）につながるように定められた。
This is a law established in 1993 and is also called the Welfare Equipment Law. It was established so that it would lead to the development and dissemination of welfare equipment (spread to society) in order for the elderly and people with disabilities to be independent in the community and/or at home, and actively participate in society.
