国勢調査
National census
統計法に基づいて、5年に一度実施する国の最も重要な統計調査のこと。日本に住む全ての人・世帯を対象とする。男性女性の数、出生の時期、世帯の数、住居の種類、住宅の建て方、などの項目を調べる。
This is the most important statistical survey of the country, conducted once every five years based on the Statistics Act. Its subjects are all the people and households living in Japan. It examines items such as the number of men and women, birthdates, the number of households, the type of residence, and the type of construction of the residence.
