World Health Organization (WHO)
全ての人の健康を守るため、1948年に設けられた国際連合の専門機関で、日本は1951年に加入した。4月7日を世界保健の日として、毎年テーマを決めて世界的な活動を行っている。
This is a specialized agency of the United Nations established in 1948 to protect the health of all people. Japan joined it in 1951. Setting April 7 as World Health Day, the WHO decides on a theme every year and carries out global activities.
