65歳以降の高齢者の虐待を防止し、高齢者の権利を守るための法律。虐待にあたる行為とは、身体的虐待、養護の放棄、心理的虐待、性的虐待、経済的虐待、がある。虐待を受けている高齢者を発見した場合は、市町村に連絡する義務がある。高齢者虐待防止法の正式名称。

This is a law to prevent abuse of the elderly and to protect the rights of the elderly and who are 65 years of age or older. The acts to be regarded as abuse include physical abuse, abandonment of care, psychological abuse, sexual abuse, and financial abuse. If one finds an elderly person who is being abused, he or she is obliged to contact the municipality. This is the official name of the law of prevention of elder abuse.
