Act on the Welfare of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities
知的障害者の福祉について定めた法律。知的障害者の自立と社会参加をすすめる。1960年に定められた精神薄弱者福祉法の名前が変わって、現在の知的障害者福祉法になった。
This is a law that defines welfare for persons with intellectual disabilities. It promotes independence and social participation of people with intellectual disabilities. The name, “Welfare Law for the Mentally Retarded”, which was set in 1960, changed to the current “Act on the Welfare of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities”.
