障害があって、日常生活の中でいつも介護を必要とする人が生活する施設。健康管理や生活介護、リハビリテーション(rehabilitation)などが行われている。現在の障害者総合支援法では、「身体障害者療護施設」という名前は使われていない。その施設が提供するサービスの種類によって様々な名前で呼ばれている。

A facility where a person with disability, who always needs long-term care in daily life, lives. It provides health management, long-term care for life and/or rehabilitation, etc. The name “care facility for persons with physical disabilities” is not used in the Act on the Comprehensive Support for the Daily and Social Life of Persons with Disabilities. It is called by various names depending on the type of services the facility provides.
