支持基底面
Base of support, BOS
身体を支えるために床と接している部分を結んだ範囲のこと。立っている場合は両足で囲まれた面、杖をついている場合は杖と両足を囲んだ面となる。広いほど、そして身体の重心が低いほど安定する。
This refers to the area underneath a person that includes every point of contact that the person makes with the floor. For example, if a person is standing, then it is the area that is included between both of their feet. If they use a walking stick, then it is the area that is included under their walking stick and feet. The wider the base of support becomes, and the lower the body’s center of gravity is, the more stable it is.
