特別養護老人ホームなどで、入所者を10人以下のユニット（unit）に分けてケアをすること。それぞれのユニットごとに食事やレクリエーション（recreation）などを行うことを通じて、家庭のような環境で生活することができるようにする。
A type of care and support provided to one unit, which consists of 10 or fewer people, at intensive care homes for the elderly, etc. Each unit is able to create a family-like living environment by eating and doing recreational activities together.
