精神保健指定医
A designated psychiatrist
患者本人の意思ではない入院や行動制限(restrictions on conduct or behavior)の判定を行う医師。精神科医療に詳しく、一定の条件に合っている必要がある。精神保健福祉法(act on mental health and welfare)に定められている制度。
A doctor who makes a judgement on a patient’s hospitalization when it is not that patient's intention, or on restrictions on a patient’s conduct or behavior. A designated psychiatrist must be well-versed in psychiatry and meet fixed prerequisites. (They are*) part of a system that is created under the Act on Mental Health and Welfare.
