老視
Presbyopia (Roushi, literally ‘aged sight’)
老眼(presbyopia)と同じだが、老視が正式なことば。40歳前後から始まる目の老化(aging)で、焦点が合わなくなることで、近いところが見えにくくなる。
This is the same as Rougan (presbyopia), but ‘Roushi’ is the official term. Because of the aging of the eyes starting at around age 40, focusing (adjusting focus) becomes hard, it becomes difficult to see things that are close.
