老眼
Presbyopia (Rougan, literally ‘aged eyes’)
40歳前後から始まる目の老化(aging)のこと。焦点が合わなくなることで、近いところが見えにくくなる。老視(presbyopia)も同じ。
This is the aging of the eyes that starts at around age 40. Because focusing (adjusting focus) becomes hard, it becomes difficult to see things that are close. ‘Roushi’ (presbyopia) also means the same.
