圧迫骨折
Compression fracture
腰椎(lumbar vertebrae)や脊椎に強い力がかかり骨が押しつぶされ(強く押され)、変形してしまう骨折のこと。高齢者に多くみられ、寝たきりや認知症の原因となることもある。
A bone fracture that happens when the bones of the lumbar vertebrae or spine are compressed (pushed together strongly) by a strong force which makes them change shape and become fractured. It is often seen in the elderly, and can cause people to become bedridden and/or get dementia.
