Neurofibrillary Tangles (NFTs)
タウというタンパク質（protein）が必要以上にリン酸化され、神経細胞内に溜まること。年齢が高くなることで生じ、アルツハイマー型認知症では脳全体に見られる。
These happen when a protein called tau gets phosphorylated more than necessary (hyperphosphorylated) and accumulates in one’s nerve cells. It occurs with aging and is found throughout one’s brain with Alzheimer’s disease.
